About the Centre
BACKGROUND

Midlothian Innovation Centre was established in 2002 and is a unique partnership between the public and private sectors, the joint venture operating through a Trust, Midlothian Innovation and Technology Trust.

Midlothian Council is at the forefront of initiatives to establish an innovative business environment focused on creating sustainable local employment opportunities through developing new technology and innovation.
New Park Management Limited is a company with over 10 years experience and success in developing and managing Business and Technology Parks focused on innovative enterprises. Operating currently from Centres in Thurso, Inverness, Aviemore, Forres and Midlothian, New Park has the aim of building a network of Business and Technology Centres throughout Scotland each benefiting from best practice throughout the network.
FACILITIES

Midlothian Innovation Centre provides a wide range of accommodation offering a variety of offices, combined workshop/office units and individual workshops.
Main Building with an overall 21500 sq ft of office space of varying sizes over 2 floors
Centre House providing 6000 sq ft of office and laboratory space over 4 floors
New Building completed October 2008 providing 12000 sq ft of office and laboratory space over 3 floors
Combined workshop/offices and individual workshops suitable for light industrial work in a variety of stand alone units within the 7 acre site
Centre reception is in the Main Building. The Centre offers excellent technical facilities, including meeting rooms, conference/lecture theatre and training facilities plus ample free car parking.
